Janet Kanzawa

Janet Kanzawa is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as Senior Corporate Counsel at Patagonia since August 2021, where responsibilities include overseeing all contracts and providing legal guidance for various corporate transactions across multiple sectors including finance, R&D, and international operations. Prior to this role, Janet was an Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, specializing in Fund Finance, Banking, Credit, and Capital Markets, and participated in the Asian Affinity Group and Women’s Advisory Council. A background in academia includes a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where Janet was recognized as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, as well as a BA in Philosophy and International Studies from Vassar College. Additional experience encompasses roles as a Research Assistant in law school and teaching positions at The American School in Japan, combining educational leadership with legal expertise.
