Lissetty Thomas currently serves as the Head of Spanish Outreach and Inclusive Services at Patchogue-Medford Library since May 2017, and previously held the roles of Spanish Outreach and School Liaison Librarian at the same institution. Lissetty has extensive experience in library services, having worked as a Children and Young Adult Librarian at Hauppauge Public Library since August 2009, and as a Programming Librarian at Brentwood Public Library from August 2007 to May 2017. Additionally, Lissetty worked as an Adult Reference and Bilingual Outreach Librarian at Patchogue-Medford Library for a year in 2015-2016. Lissetty holds a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from St. John’s University and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature with a minor in Elementary Education from Dowling College.

Patchogue-Medford Library

The mission of the Patchogue-Medford Library is to provide resources and opportunities to empower, educate and entertain the community. The Library is a School District Public Library serving the residents of the Patchogue-Medford School District. The District encompasses the Incorporated Village of Patchogue and the hamlets of North Patchogue, Medford and a portion of East Patchogue. The area is 15.5 square miles extending from the Great South Bay in Patchogue to Granny Road in Medford. Waverly Avenue and North Ocean Avenue form the western border of the district. The eastern border of the district extends from Roe Avenue and South Country Road in Patchogue to just east of White Pine Way in Medford.
