Val has extensive experience in the IP sector as a former R&D engineer, USPTO examiner, patent researcher and senior executive (former VP of Operations - Patent Research at Lacasse & Associates and CPA Global). Val’s expertise includes a broad range of technologies such as mechanical, electrical, computer science, business methods and database administration. His experience includes patent application prosecution, patent research/consulting as well as hands-on experience as a former R&D engineer (ATEC, John Hopkins’ Wilmer Eye Institute), former Oracle database administrator/programmer, and educator at the US Naval Academy, University of Maryland, and University of Phoenix Online.
