Jim Convery

Jim Convery has a diverse work experience in the field of IT and technology. Jim currently works as the Director of DIGITAL, IT Core Foundational Services and Solutions at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) since April 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of IT at PCORI from October 2012 to April 2022.

Before joining PCORI, Jim worked at the National Science Teachers Association from July 2007 to October 2012. Jim started as an SQL Database Manager and was later promoted to Director of IT. In this role, they managed a team responsible for IT support for 135 users, conferences, and web-based systems. Jim also played a significant role in budgeting, network infrastructure, security, and maintenance.

From April 2002 to August 2007, Jim worked at the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. Initially, they served as a System Support Specialist and then became the Director of Information Systems. Jim oversaw system support for 20 users and five servers and led various projects, including website redesign and database integration.

Jim's early career includes a Consultant role at i-Solutions Group from 2000 to 2001.

Jim Convery obtained a BS in Computer Science from American University between 1995 and 1999. Jim later pursued an MBA in Management of Science, Technology, and Innovation from The George Washington University School of Business, completing it between 2006 and 2009. In addition, they obtained the ITIL® Foundation certificate in IT Service Management in August 2015.
