Bill Garland has extensive work experience in various roles within the field of strategic planning, enablement, and finance. Bill is currently employed as the Associate Director of Strategic Planning and Enablement at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) since March 2022. Prior to this, Bill worked as an Enterprise Architect at JDRF International from December 2020 to March 2022.

Before joining JDRF International, they served as a Senior Lead Solutions Architect at Hilton from November 2019 to June 2020. Prior to that, Bill worked at FedEx Services for several years in different positions. Bill was a Technical Fellow from March 2016 to May 2019, an Executive Project Principal from October 2011 to March 2016, and an Executive Advisor in Finance from October 2006 to October 2011. Bill initially joined FedEx Services as a Senior Performance and Planning Analyst in June 2004.

Bill began their career as a Financial Analyst II at First Horizon National Corporation in June 1997 and worked there until June 2004.

Bill Garland, SPC, CBA®, CSM holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Economics and Finance from The University of Memphis. Bill also has a Bachelor's degree in History from the same institution. In addition to their academic qualifications, Bill has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Bill is a Certified Business Architect (CBA)® from the Business Architecture Guild, a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance, and a Certified SAFe® 5 Program Consultant, Certified SAFe® 5 Architect, and Certified SAFe® 4 Architect from Scaled Agile Inc.
