Director, People Strategy And Services at Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute

Uzma Sher-Yousaf has extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Uzma is currently the Director of People Strategy and Services at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Booz Allen Hamilton where they held multiple roles. From November 2020 to May 2022, they served as a Human Capital Intelligence Analyst and conducted talent-focused research and analysis to provide improvement recommendations to company leadership and HR. Uzma also worked as an HR Business Partner from July 2016 to November 2020, supporting the Cyber account leadership in the Central Maryland Region.

Before joining Booz Allen Hamilton, Uzma worked as the Founder/Consultant at HR Management & Technical Solutions, LLC from November 2015 to July 2016, where they provided human resources and business solutions to maximize employee performance and organizational growth.

Uzma has also held leadership positions in human resources at EZRA Technologies Inc. as Director of Human Resources from 2012 to 2015, A-TEK, Inc. as Director of Human Resources from October 2011 to January 2013, KEYW Corporation as Sr. HR Business Partner from March 2010 to September 2011, Games Workshop as Director of Human Resources from 2008 to 2010, and HeiTech Services Inc. as Director of Human Resources from December 2003 to May 2007.

Uzma began their career as an HRIS, Compensation and Benefits Specialist at Sibley in 1999 and stayed in that role until 2002.

Throughout their career, Uzma has demonstrated expertise in strategic HR consulting, employee engagement, performance management, change initiatives, and talent development.

Uzma Sher-Yousaf's education history includes a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Maryland, where they studied Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration and also Marketing/Marketing Management. Uzma later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland Global Campus, specializing in an unspecified field of study. Additionally, they obtained a Master's degree from the same institution, focusing on Management Information Systems, specifically in a general context.
