Sanaz Massoumi PhD has a wealth of work experience. Sanaz began their career in 2005 as a Senior Staff Quality Assurance Engineer at Broadcom, a fabless semiconductor company. In this role, they managed over 200 customers and was entrusted with the top 20 accounts, finding solutions for technical issues and promoting customer satisfaction and success. In 2014, they began their Doctor of Philosophy - Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Southern California. During their time there, they participated in research collaboration on care process improvement, high reliability organization principles, patient safety, patient experience, and quality of care with healthcare organizations. In 2018, they began working as a Senior Director at Tagnos, where they managed data collection and analysis for a $1 million company that provided RFID tags to track patient movement throughout a hospital with the goal of improving patient flow, patient experience, room utilization, first case start time, care outcomes, and operating room cycle time. In the same year, they also began working as a Senior Consultant at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. In 2019, they became the Director of Regulatory and Patient Safety + Patient Safety Officer at Keck Medicine of USC. Currently, they are the Chief Operating Officer at the Patient Safety Movement Foundation.
Sanaz Massoumi received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California in 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MS) in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California in 2007.
