Esmeralda van Tuinen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in urban development and sustainability. Currently serving as the Chairperson of the Urgentie Certificates Examination Committee at Gemeente Leidschendam-Voorburg since June 2022, Esmeralda also holds the position of Vice-Chairperson on the Supervisory Board at Patrimonium Barendrecht, appointed by the Residents' Council. As an independent advisor and trainer since May 2014, Esmeralda provides expert guidance in housing, resident participation, and sustainability. Furthermore, Esmeralda founded and directs Stichting Groenkracht, a volunteer organization dedicated to sustainable green initiatives in Delft, overseeing a team of 80 volunteers. Previous contributions include membership in the Delft E Design cooperative and a senior advisory role at Início BV focused on social housing development. Esmeralda holds a degree in Architecture and Housing from Delft University of Technology, completed in 1998.
