Lisa Battaglia serves as the Assistant Vice President of Corporate Communications and Marketing at Patriot Rail. She is responsible for the development and execution of the corporate communications and marketing strategies for the 14 railroads across North America, rail services and excursion train. Ms. Battaglia oversees the company’s brand, media relations, internal and external communication, website, and social media. She works to ensure Patriot’s messaging is consistent, supports its mission, and is properly disseminated.
Prior to joining Patriot, Ms. Battaglia was the Director of Marketing and Communications at Rice University’s Moody Center for the Arts where she oversaw the marketing and public relations strategies for exhibitions, programming, and Rice Public Art. She was also the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Jetco Delivery LLC, a freight and logistic company, where she was responsible for the company’s communication, media relations and promotion of the company’s culture. In addition, she supported Jetco’s CEO in his public speaking engagements, securing opportunities for sharing the Jetco safety culture message both through presentations across the country and through media placement. Ms. Battaglia began her career in the Marketing and Special Initiatives department at Belmont University when the university hosted the 2008 Town Hall Presidential Debate between President Barak Obama and Senator John McCain.
Ms. Battaglia received Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in English Literature from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.
