Kurt Emch has several years of experience in UX design and development. Kurt is currently serving as the Director of UX at Patron Technology since January 2022. In this role, they work on user flows, designs, and prototypes for a full-service events management platform. Kurt also previously worked at Patron Technology as a Senior UX Engineer, where they were responsible for designing and maintaining the design library to ensure consistency and efficiency in the design process.
Prior to their role at Patron Technology, Kurt worked at ShowClix as a UI Developer from May 2014 to September 2017. Kurt was involved in the design, conceptualization, and development of the product user interface for their event ticketing and access control solutions.
Kurt's experience also includes working at Smith Brothers Agency as a Designer/Front-End Developer from April 2013 to May 2014, where they designed and developed websites for clients and the agency. Kurt also worked at the National Network of Digital Schools as a Lead Web and Communications Designer from January 2010 to April 2013, where they championed the use of SASS/Compass development techniques and advocated for user-centric approaches to new products and services.
Furthermore, Kurt gained experience at Youngstown State University, where they served as a Graphic Services Assistant from May 2005 to December 2006. In this role, they were responsible for graphic design, website updates, and pre-press setup. Kurt also worked as a Student Assistant at the Youngstown State University Department of Art from August 2002 to December 2006.
Kurt Emch pursued their undergraduate education from 2001 to 2006 at Youngstown State University. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a focus on Art & Technology and Graphic Design.
