Adam Treiber is an adept attorney with more than two decades of experience working in intellectual property law. His core practices focus on patent preparation and prosecution, litigation and dispute resolution, and risk assessment and compliance. He has a wide breadth of technical practice areas including the computer science, software, electrical and mechanical arts, with a focus on software and hardware related to machine learning / artificial intelligence, networks and communications.

Prior to joining Patterson + Sheridan, Adam served in several roles as an IP attorney, including an associate, of counsel and partner for AmLaw 100 and boutique firms along the East Coast. In addition to his practice as a lawyer, Adam holds more than a decade of experience as a systems and software engineer in the aerospace and defense industries. For example, Adam designed, implemented and tested embedded attitude control system software for small satellites, as well as underwater and airborne acoustic analysis and signal processing software for the U.S. Navy.

Adam holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland. He has a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from The Catholic University of America and a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from George Washington University. He also earned his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School.
