Mark O’boyle is currently of counsel at Patterson + Sheridan. Prior to that, they worked as Intellectual Property Counsel for Flextronics from January 2003 to December 2004. In this role, they partnered with all levels of management and global organizations to develop successful IP and legal strategies, agreements and issue resolution. Mark also provided legal advice and related due diligence for new products, IP and IP infringement, acquisitions, international transactions, commercial agreements, and other business matters.
During their time at Flextronics, Mark sole developed their internal patent system and managed the international patent portfolio. Mark oversaw patent prosecution and IP litigation matters, directed outside counsel, and crafted curriculum to train engineers across twenty design centers in eleven countries regarding identifying and preserving newly developed IP and customers’ confidential information.
Mark has extensive experience in developing IP and legal strategies for consumer electronics. Mark has implemented and facilitated patent mining and review committees.
Mark O’boyle has a Doctor of Law from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University. Mark also has a minor in Aeronautics.
