Yuta Masuda

Director Of Science at Paul G. Allen Family Foundation

Yuta Masuda has extensive work experience in various organizations. From 2022 onwards, they hold the role of Director of Science at the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, where they co-lead the Environment portfolio and focuses on funding projects related to terrestrial conservation, ocean health, and climate change mitigation and adaptation. Prior to this, from 2013 to 2022, Yuta worked at The Nature Conservancy in different roles, including Senior Sustainable Development and Behavioral Scientist and Policy Scientist. Before joining The Nature Conservancy, Yuta served as a Health Economist I at RTI International from 2006 to 2008. Yuta'searly career in 2005 involved working as an NGO Development Volunteer with Peace Corps.

Yuta Masuda completed their Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics at the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business from 2001 to 2005. Yuta then pursued a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Management at the University of Washington from 2008 to 2014.
