Maria Ilaria Besana

Maria Ilaria Besana is a physicist currently working as a Research Scientist at Paul Scherrer Institut PSI since October 2018. Prior to this, Maria Ilaria was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at CERN from September 2014 to August 2017, where Maria Ilaria worked on energy deposition calculations for the Future Circular Collider project. Maria also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at INFN Milano from February 2012 to August 2014, focusing on the search for the scalar top quark. Maria Ilaria holds a PhD in Elementary Particle Physics from Università degli Studi di Milano.
