Robin Akhurst currently serves as the Vice President of Winemaking at Vintage Wine Estates, overseeing a luxury wine portfolio that includes 11 Estate Brands and 12 Asset Lite Brands, alongside multiple B2B projects. With a strong background in winemaking, Robin has held positions like Regional Director of Winemaking for Napa and Sonoma and has been involved with various wineries including Sonoma Coast Vineyards, Apsara Cellars, Paula Kornell Sparkling Wine, Clos Pegase, and Swanson Vineyards, where responsibilities ranged from team leadership to optimizing winemaking operations. Robin’s educational background includes a Post Graduate Diploma in Viticulture and Enology from Lincoln University and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from The University of Edinburgh.
