Courtney Cooper Goguelet is a dedicated education professional with extensive experience in teaching and special education. Currently serving as a Special Education Coordinator, Intervention Specialist, and Kindergarten teacher at PAVE Schools since August 2016, Courtney focuses on providing high-quality education through rigorous curriculum and culturally responsive classroom management. Additionally, Courtney has worked as a tutor at The Fletcher Academy, providing after-school literacy support for First and Second Grade students. Previous experience includes teaching Second Grade at Belvoir Elementary from August 2014 to June 2016 and participating as a Corps Member with Teach For America. Courtney holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Women's Studies, and Economics from Allegheny College. Throughout the years, Courtney has also contributed to community service through volunteer work, including a role as a counselor and advocate at Women’s Services Inc. and tutoring adult learners in the Crawford County Read Program.
