Ashok Seetharam has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. In 2011, they were an Engineering Intern at Appasamy Associates, where they tested PHACO systems, aided in designing a new method for eye irrigation, and assisted technicians in developing a new scanner for identifying retinal detachment. In 2013, they were a Research Assistant at Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany, where they produced bio-material scaffolds with different fiber diameters, characterized samples using scanning electron microscopes, and conducted circumferential and longitudinal dynamic mechanical testing using a BOSE system. In 2014, they were a Master Student at Brown University. In 2016, they were the Chief Technology Officer at Orthopedix. In 2017, they were the Product Lead at Toggle Health. Finally, in 2018, they became a Co-Founder and CTO at PAXAFE, where they predicted adverse events through the supply chain to de-risk B2B shipments and enable dynamic cargo insurance. PAXAFE is a venture-backed company and a graduate of nationally-ranked accelerator gener8tor, was a top 6 finalist in the 2019 Accelerate Michigan startup competition and is a top 20 Wisconsin startup to watch in 2020.

Ashok Seetharam completed a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2013. Ashok then went on to earn a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Brown University from 2014 to 2016.
