Juan Castaños

Juan Castaños has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Juan is currently working at Paxos as a member of the Trade and Market Surveillance team since 2022. Prior to that, they were a Surveillance Senior Associate at Robinhood from 2021 to 2022.

Juan also has extensive experience at Goldman Sachs, where they held multiple roles. Juan started as an AML Transaction Surveillance Group Compliance Sr. Analyst in 2017 and worked on conducting daily surveillance and complex investigations of potentially suspicious activity. Juan then became an Investment Banking Compliance Sr. Analyst, providing advice and compliance oversight to IBD personnel and developing policies and procedures for the department. Later, they served as the Compliance Analyst Network Co-Head, managing initiatives to support the integration and career development of new compliance analysts at Goldman Sachs. Juan also worked as a Financial Crime Compliance Strategy Sr. Analyst, contributing to compliance projects and initiatives.

Before joining Goldman Sachs, Juan worked at 2nd Story Capital as an Analyst, providing legal support to portfolio companies and assisting with legal research and contract drafting. Juan also served as an Intern, leading a team in performing legal due diligence for potential acquisitions.

In 2016, Juan had a summer internship at Goldman Sachs as a Compliance Summer Analyst, where they supported the Global Compliance Employee Services team and assisted with internal reviews and account surveillance.

Juan Castaños completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University between 2011 and 2017. Juan then pursued a minor in Legal Studies, General at the same institution from 2015 to 2017. Later, they attended Penn State University from 2019 to 2021, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Finance.
