Yamin Elmakis

Yamin Elmakis has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and sectors. Starting in 2004, they served as an Ordnance Officer in the Israel Defense Forces until 2011. Yamin then joined Check Point Software Technologies as a Security Analyst and later as a Software Developer. In these roles, they developed tools and analyzed data using languages such as Python, PHP, JavaScript, and databases like MySQL and Oracle DB.

In 2015, Yamin became a Partner and Android Developer at WakeApp, where they single-handedly developed an app and server from scratch. Yamin then worked as an Android Developer at sPARK PARKING TECHNOLOGIES LTD., taking responsibility for Android app development, including UI customization and localization.

From 2018 to 2020, Yamin worked at Home365 as a Senior Android Developer, leading the Android development team and working on multiple Android products. Yamin then joined HERE Mobility as an iOS Developer and later as a Senior Android Developer, where they gained experience in teamwork, app architecture, and testing while developing the SoMo app.

In 2020, Yamin joined shelfy.io as a Mobile Team Lead, focusing on Flutter development. Yamin also took on the role of Android Tech Lead, where they oversaw all aspects of the Android app lifecycle, including refactoring the project code into a more modular and cleaner codebase.

Currently, Yamin is serving as the Head of Mobile at PayBox since 2023.

Yamin Elmakis pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Software Engineering from 2011 to 2015 at the Afeka Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering.
