Jeremy Evers

Jeremy Evers has held a variety of roles in the software engineering and IT fields since 2014. From 2014 to 2016, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Missouri, during which time they worked on the Soykb.org website. In 2015, they were an IT Intern at Hallmark Cards, where they worked with Hadoop/Big Data, Python, Java, and social media API's. In 2016, they were a Software Engineering Intern at Cerner Corporation, and from 2017 to 2019, they held the roles of Associate Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer at Cerner Corporation. During their time at Cerner Corporation, they created microservices using Java and Hibernate, tested with Scala, and built multiple public facing APIs using Ruby. Jeremy also designed processing pipelines using Crunch to bring data into the system and into HDFS for downstream consumers to use. In 2019, they became Software Engineering Manager at PayIt.

Jeremy Evers obtained a Dual Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology with a Math minor from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2017. Jeremy then obtained a Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2020. In March 2020, they also obtained a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
