Christien Ackroyd

Christien Ackroyd has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Starting in 2005, they worked as a Process Analyst at Dynamic Strategies before moving on to become a Consultant at Rieter Feltex in 2006. They also worked as a Part-Time Lecturer at the University of Pretoria during the same period. In 2007, they joined MTN and held various positions such as Process Architect, Portfolio Support Manager, Programme Manager for Consumer Marketing, and Project Manager. At MTN, they were responsible for delivering projects aligned with marketing and sales requirements, managing the project delivery and operations, and translating company strategy into actionable plans. They then moved to Dimension Data in 2014 as a Senior Services Development Specialist. In 2016, they worked as a Programme Manager at inQuba, leading customer experience projects and driving the delivery of product enhancements. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as a Finance Solutions Analyst at Rand Merchant Bank. Finally, they joined Paymentology in 2020 and currently hold the position of Product Director, overseeing the management and evolution of the Integrations product portfolio.

Christien Ackroyd completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria from 2002 to 2005. They then pursued further education and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering Honours (BEng Hons) degree in Industrial Engineering from the same institution from 2006 to 2007. Additionally, Christien has obtained several certifications throughout their career including Certified SAFe® 5 Scrum Master from Scaled Agile, Inc. in April 2020, COBIT™ 5 Foundation Examination from APMG International in June 2015, and Project Management Professional (PMP)® from the Project Management Institute in August 2014.
