Bilal Damaj

Bilal Damaj began their work experience in 2015 as an Intern at Chesterfield County's Planning Department, where they assisted with tasks such as answering phones, approving permits, and providing customer service. In 2016, they worked as a Planning Intern at Henrico County.

In 2018, Bilal joined the Richmond Regional Planning District Commission as a Data Development and Research Intern. Later that year, they also served as a Project Manager for their Professional Plan at Virginia Commonwealth University, where they developed and managed the project plan for the VCU Campus Tree Plan.

In 2019, Bilal transitioned into the role of an Account Representative at Carahsoft. Later, in 2020, they became an Account Manager and played a key role in growing revenue for the TAP's team and providing guidance to new hires.

Currently, Bilal is employed at Paymerang, where they started in 2021 as a Sales Development Representative. In this role, they supported the Outside Sales team, generated new qualified opportunities, and helped establish Paymerang's presence in the K-12 Independent school and Banking & Finance sectors. Bilal has also taken on the role of an Account Executive-Invoice Automation.

Bilal Damaj has a strong educational background in the field of Urban and Regional Planning. Bilal received a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University, attending from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Studies from the same university, completing their undergraduate studies from 2012 to 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Bilal has also obtained several certifications to enhance their project management skills. Bilal completed the Fundamentals of Agile Project Management and Fundamentals of Waterfall Project Management certifications through the Project Management Institute in September 2022. Bilal also obtained a Google Project Management Certificate from Coursera in August 2022. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to professional development and their interest in project management.
