Sam Alfares

Sam Alfares is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and management across several prominent companies. Currently serving as Sr. Director and Head of PPCP Engineering at PayPal since August 2019, Alfares also holds a position as Board Advisor at Paying Vault LLC. Previous roles include Head of Merchant Engineering at Braintree, Engineering Leader at Prime Video at Amazon, and Director of Software Engineering at Beachbody. Early in the career, Alfares served as Chief Technology Officer at Grabbd Inc and held various leadership positions at Yahoo!, including Head of Yahoo i18n Engineering. Starting as a Web Developer & Trainer at Future Leaders For Computers, Alfares holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Applied Science University, earned between 2000 and 2004.
