Sean Kane

Sean Kane is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in sanctions, anti-money laundering, and risk consultancy. Currently serving as Senior Director and Associate General Counsel at PayPal since May 2020, Sean previously held the position of Director for Sanctions and AML. Prior to this, Sean was Counsel at Dechert LLP and Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP. Notably, Sean's tenure at the U.S. Department of the Treasury spanned six years, where roles included Deputy Assistant Director for Policy and Policy Advisor within the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Sean's career began at Goodwin Procter LLP as an attorney, following positions in risk consultancy and intelligence at AKE Group. Sean holds a B.A. in History from the University of Florida and a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School.
