Matthew A. Rehn has worked in the financial services industry since 2010. In 2010, they began working as a Case Officer and Enquiry Officer at the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman, where they investigated and resolved disputes beyond referral using alternative dispute resolution methods and the TIO’s complaint handling procedures. In 2015, they joined Nationwide Towing & Transport as a Compliance Manager, where they were responsible for external communications and new policy implementation to improve outcomes of compliance investigations. In 2017, they moved to Commander as a Principal Investigator, deploying Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) for telco-related disputes and directing a portfolio of 300 open complaints. Currently, they are the Head of Dispute Resolution at Payright, managing the dispute resolution program for the recently publicly listed buy now pay later BNPL provider. Matthew A. is responsible for managing all customer or merchant driven complaints that include internal dispute resolution (IDR) and external dispute resolution (EDR), tribunal matters, and regulatory investigations.
Matthew A. Rehn has a varied educational background. Matthew A. began their studies in 2011 at the North Melbourne Institute of Tafe, where they earned a Diploma in Government. Matthew A. then went on to Flinders University, where they completed a Bachelor's degree in Government and Public Management in 2016. In 2017, they began a Master's Degree in Commercial Law at Southern Cross University, which they completed in 2020. Matthew A. is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration at the University of Melbourne, which they are expected to complete in 2022. Prior to their tertiary studies, they attended Paralowie High School.
