Melissa Foong

Melissa Foong has been working in the legal industry since 2002. Melissa began their career as a Lawyer at Allens Arthur Robinson, where they worked as an Articled Clerk in the Banking and Finance team and also undertook placements in Intellectual Property and Corporate and Commercial teams. In 2004, they moved to Watson, Farley & Williams LLP as an Associate. In 2006, they joined Simmons & Simmons as an Associate. In 2009, they were promoted to Vice President at Barclays Capital. From 2011 to 2018, they worked at UBS as a Director in Structured Finance, Treasury ALM Structuring, and Fixed Income. In 2018, they joined LOD (Lawyers On Demand) as a Senior Legal Counsel specializing in corporate and commercial matters. Finally, in 2020, they joined Payright as Commercial Counsel.

Melissa Foong has an extensive education history, beginning with their attendance at Moreton Bay College from 1992 to 1997. Melissa then attended Bond University from 1998 to 2001, where they earned an LLB/Commerce degree with a focus on Law and Finance. In 2017, they completed a Whole Farm Planning Short Course at Melbourne Polytechnic in Agriculture and General. In 2018, they earned an Associate Savante - Register degree in Olive Oil Tasting from International Olive Oil Savantes. Currently, they are pursuing a Diploma in Financial Counselling at RMIT University. In addition, they have obtained two edX Verified Certificates, one for Strategic Management Capstone in 2023 and one for Introduction to Connected Strategy in 2022.
