Marcio Santos

Marcio Santos has a long and varied work experience. Marcio began their career in 1998 at ABN AMRO Bank N.V., where they held the roles of Tecnology Risk Management Head and Sr System Analyst. In 2007, they moved to Banco Santander as a Sr Process Consultant, where they were a part of the Lean Six Sigma - Black Belt certification program and was a Project Manager in the Santander acquisition and integration processes. In 2009, they joined MercadoPago.com as Technology, Operations & Risk Manager, responsible for managing payments business units and business development. In 2014, they moved to Acqio Payments as Chief Risk Officer, collaborating for the Governance, Compliance, Internal Controls, Risk Management and Operations areas. Marcio also took on the role of Executive General Manager at BSI Tecnologia (Joint Venture BSI Tecnologia - Netmax) the same year. In 2015, they joined GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) as a COUNCIL MEMBER and Payscout Inc. as Country Manager and Executive Director. In 2021, they joined Yapstone as Managing Director.

Marcio Santos began their education in 1994, when they obtained a Bsc in Mechanical Engineering from USP - Universidade de São Paulo. Marcio continued their education at USP, obtaining an Msc in Mechatronic Engineering in 2005. In 2007, they earned a CISA - Certified Information System Auditor from ISACA, and in 2008 they received a Lean SixSigma BlackBelt from Banco Real / Werkema Consultoria. In 2013, they completed an International Module of International MBA at FIA - Fundação Instituto de Administração from Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management. Marcio then obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from FIA Business School in 2014, followed by an International Module of International MBA at FIA - Fundação Instituto de Administração from University of Cambridge and emlyon business school. Finally, in 2016, Marcio Santos completed a Certificate in Strategic Decision and Risk Management from Stanford University.
