Spencer Smith has had a diverse work history. In 2015, they worked as a Maximizer at B.W. Baker Insurance Services, where they answered, routed, and created correspondence for coworkers, clients, or general inquiries, provided exceptional customer service to clients, and ensured that claims were processed correctly. In 2016, they worked as a Merchant Enhancements Representative at iPayment, Inc., where they reached out to merchants to update equipment profile and check equipment security certificates and capabilities, created deployment orders for new equipment, and entered and maintained data and notes re: merchant accounts. Spencer also worked as a Temporary Ambassador at Newmark Advertising, where they scanned podcasts for advertising spots, isolated and extracted advertising spots using audio-editing software, and catalogued spots within an online server. In 2017, they worked as a Technical Support Representative at Paysafe Group, where they handled incoming calls daily to assist merchants with technical support issues as well as calls and issues from other departments when needed, and significantly reduced call handling times by establishing himself as a subject-matter expert and running training sessions for other employees, increasing their team members’ ability to more quickly and confidently handle calls. Currently, they are a Sr. Support Technician at Payscout, where they participate in technical assistance and development enabling continuing innovation within the infrastructure, provides support as it relates to Payscout’s products and solutions, and has the ability to resolve complex inquiries. Spencer also works with developers and merchants to troubleshoot gateway technical issues.

Spencer Smith obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Music from Boston University between 2011 and 2015. Spencer then attended UCLA Extension between 2017 and 2019, where they studied Film Scoring and Music Theory and Composition, but did not obtain a degree. In February 2019, they obtained a Certificate of Completion from Udemy for the course "Build an Awesome Copywriting Portfolio From Scratch". Spencer is also in the process of obtaining the Electronic Transactions Association's ETA CPP certification, which is expected to be completed in September 2022.
