Julio Mario Bonilla Aldana

Julio Mario Bonilla Aldana serves as the Executive Vice President at ICODECO since April 2023 and holds the position of Senior Legal Counsel for Latam at PayU since February 2021. Previously, Julio Mario was a Partner at Bonilla Cristancho & Asociados from January 2020 to February 2021 and acted as the Deputy Superintendent for User Protection in the Transportation Sector at the Superintendencia de Transporte from September 2018 to September 2019. Additionally, Julio Mario has significant experience in academia as a Professor of Consumer Law at Universidad Externado de Colombia during 2018 and 2016. Early legal roles include advisory positions at the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio and Jerónimo Martins where Julio Mario focused on consumer protection and contractual matters. Julio Mario holds a Master’s degree in Economic Law with an emphasis on Regulation and Economic Analysis of Law from Universidad Externado de Colombia and has additional qualifications in contractual law and English language proficiency from McGill University.
