Aaldrik Tiktak

Aaldrik Tiktak is a Senior Researcher in Soil and Water at PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency, where responsibilities include evaluating environmental policies such as the River Basin Management Plans, Dutch Manure and Fertilizer Policy, and Sustainable Crop Protection initiatives, while also contributing to European working groups on pesticide risk assessment. Since July 2012, Aaldrik Tiktak serves as a member of the PPR Panel at the European Food Safety Authority, providing scientific advice on pesticide risk assessments and methodologies. Previous experience includes roles as a Soil Scientist at RIVM, where the focus was on soil acidification and pollution, and membership in DG-SANCO working groups to develop guidelines for pesticide leaching to groundwater. Early in the career, Aaldrik Tiktak worked as a Soil Scientist at the University of Amsterdam, concentrating on forest hydrology monitoring and simulation model development. Aaldrik Tiktak holds a PhD in Physical Geography from the University of Amsterdam.
