Hailey Gilliland has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles and industries. Hailey started their career as a Sales Associate at Abercrombie & Fitch in 2015. In 2016, they embarked on a Summer Research Study Abroad program at the University of Oregon. Later that year, they joined the Net Impact Sustainable Business Club, where they served as the VP of Membership, participating in discussions on environmentally conscious companies and coordinating with Young Mountain Tea Company.
In 2017, Hailey interned at Adobe as a Sustainability and Social Impact Intern. Their responsibilities included assisting in the expansion of a scholarship program, conducting research for sales teams, and participating in corporate responsibility and renewable energy investment calls. Hailey continued to develop their skills and knowledge in sustainability by joining the University of Oregon as a Riparian Restoration Field Technician in 2018. Hailey worked with a group to restore a riparian area and create a report on monitoring efforts.
Hailey's passion for environmental conservation led their to volunteer as a Botany Field Technician with the US Army Corps of Engineers in 2020. Hailey assisted with data collection, located invasive plant species, and performed seed collection. During this time, they also worked as a Habitat Restoration Specialist at Ash Creek Forest Management, where they implemented site plans, identified and controlled invasive species, and planted native riparian species.
In 2021, Hailey joined PBS Engineering and Environmental as a Natural Resources Intern, gaining practical experience in the field. Hailey then transitioned into the role of Natural Resource Field Technician, where they utilized their skills to support various projects. Most recently, Hailey assumed the position of Project Biologist at PBS Engineering and Environmental.
Throughout their career, Hailey has consistently demonstrated their commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation, contributing their expertise to make a positive impact in their professional endeavors.
Hailey Gilliland obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Oregon, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. In May 2019, they obtained a certification as a Preventative Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) from the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA).
