Yanglin Zhao has extensive experience in software engineering. They started their career as a Developer Intern at Harvard Channing Laboratory in 2010. They then worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan Civil Engineering, where they focused on embedded device prototyping and web-based data visualization.

In 2014, Yanglin joined Automatic Labs, LLC as a Frontend Engineer, leading the development of a backend-for-frontend API and creating internal tools. They also maintained the web storefront and automated fulfillment processes.

Yanglin later joined Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in 2016 as a Senior Fullstack Engineer, where they led the modernization of the web video player and maintained an internal content scheduling system.

In 2018, Yanglin joined Walmart Labs as a Software Engineer III before returning to PBS in 2019, this time as a Principal Software Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining and extending the core content API and leading the migration of the datastore.

Currently, Yanglin is working as a Senior Software Engineer at Addepar since 2022.

Yanglin Zhao attended the University of Michigan from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering.
