Ed Kernan serves as the Marketing + Purpose Director for Co-op Experiences at PCC Community Markets since May 2024. Prior to this role, Ed was the Director of Culinary Operations at Our Place, where responsibilities included opening the first two retail locations and launching in-store personalization with custom laser engraving. Ed's extensive experience also includes over fifteen years at Sur La Table, where various roles encompassed managing nationwide culinary operations, overseeing a national cooking class program that drove significant revenue, and implementing policies and training initiatives. Earlier career positions included Line Cook at Bistro Moderne, Cafe Manager at Hastings Entertainment, and Front End Manager at Toys R Us. Ed holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from John Carroll University.

The co-op’s mission is to ensure that good food nourishes the communities it serves, while cultivating vibrant, local, organic food systems. PCC operates 16 stores in the Puget Sound area, including the cities of Bellevue, Bothell, Burien, Edmonds, Issaquah, Kirkland, Redmond and Seattle. Seattle stores are in the neighborhoods of Ballard, Central District, Columbia City, Downtown, Fremont, Green Lake, View Ridge and West Seattle.
