Arya Etebarian

Arya Etebarian has a strong background in international trade compliance and risk management. They started their career in 2001 as an International Trainee at União de Negócios e Administração (UNA), where they initiated and managed projects to establish partnerships between UNA and universities in Europe and the Americas. They then joined Vastera, Inc., where they worked as a Trade Content Analyst, monitoring and analyzing changes in international trade regulations.

In 2005, Arya joined JPMorgan Chase as an Operations Supervisor in Global Trade Services. They researched and managed trade content used in the company's solutions, oversaw a team of trade consultants, and trained junior team members. They also gained experience in export compliance support and risk analysis.

After their time at JPMorgan Chase, Arya joined the Entrepreneurs' Organization as a Membership Representative in the Canada chapter. They assisted with business development initiatives, researched prospects, and executed a recruitment campaign.

Arya then moved on to Booz Allen Hamilton, where they worked as a Senior Consultant in the Export Management Office. They provided export compliance support, managed exports, and filed export authorizations.

From 2011 to 2018, Arya worked at Amber Road, initially as a Senior Trade Specialist in the Content Department, managing their Latin America and Caribbean trade compliance content. They then became the Manager of the Content Department, where they built and managed a team responsible for data/content development and maintenance. Finally, they served as a Content Product Manager, managing complex projects and advising the Product Management department on the roadmap for data products.

Most recently, Arya has been working at PCCW as an AVP and later as a VP in International Trade Compliance - Risk Management & Compliance. However, specific details about their roles at PCCW are not provided.

Arya Etebarian pursued an MBA in Global Management from Boston College Carroll School of Management from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, Arya completed a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, attending from 1997 to 2001. During the same year, Arya also obtained a Certificate in Spanish language proficiency from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Before attending the University of Maryland, Arya attended Lycee Rochambeau French International School from 1993 to 1996.

In addition to formal education, Arya Etebarian earned several certifications throughout their career. These certifications include Managing Virtual Teams from LinkedIn in June 2023, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from Scrum Alliance in April 2019, Export Controls Specialist (EXCS) from Global Trade Academy in February 2018, Certificate for a course on New Trends in Trade Agreements in Latin America & the Caribbean from Inter-American Development Bank in December 2016, Transition Training Course on ISO 9001:2015 from TQM International Private Limited in August 2016, Certified Classification Specialist (CCLS) from Global Trade Academy in December 2015, and QMS Internal Auditor Training Course on ISO 9001:2008 from TQM International Private Limited in April 2012.
