James Nickel

James N. has worked in various roles within the IT industry. James began their career as a Systems Administrator in the United States Marine Corps from November 2008 to October 2012. Following this, they worked as a Systems Administrator at Capmark from October 2012 to July 2013. James then joined Continuum Health Alliance as an IT Implementation Technician II from July 2013 to April 2014. Since April 2014, they have been working at PCH Technologies, starting as an IT Consultant and later being promoted to Senior IT Lead. Currently, they hold the position of Director of MSP Operations at PCH Technologies, a role they started in June 2023. Throughout their career, James has gained experience in a wide range of IT services, including project management, network security, virtualization, and compliance implementation.

James N. has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Cybersecurity from Thomas Edison State University, which they obtained from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2013, they attended Central Texas College and earned an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Information Security Management. In 2015 and 2016, they studied at the Network Learning Institute, focusing on CCNA/MCP, although they did not obtain a specific degree. In 2009, they received a Lean Six Sigma certificate from the Department of the Navy. Additionally, in 2008, they attended the Aviation Logistics Tactical Information Systems Training School, specializing in Information Technology.

James N. also holds several certifications. In 2017, they obtained the "Exam 410: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012" certification from Microsoft. In 2010, they achieved the CompTIA Security+ Certification and CompTIA Network+ Certification. Furthermore, they obtained the Certified Meraki Network Associate (CMNA) certification from Cisco Meraki in 2017 and the Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching) certification from Cisco in 2016. Lastly, in 2016, they completed the LogicMonitor Certification Program.
