Paul Smyth

Paul Smyth began their work experience as an Audit Supervisor at EY in 1989, specializing in auditing multinational manufacturing and distribution companies. Paul then worked as the Finance & Operations Director at Galthworth Limited from 1994 to 1997, managing the family lighting distribution and retail business. Following that, they served as a VC Investment Executive at the International Fund For Ireland from 1997 to 1999, where they were responsible for sourcing, appraising, and completing investment opportunities in start-up and emerging companies. From 1999 to 2006, Paul worked as the CFO at iQon Technologies, handling the company's finances during a period of significant growth. Paul then became the Commercial Director & General Manager at CLAAS Ireland from 2006 to 2009, where they oversaw the development and professionalization of the CLAAS dealer network. Paul went on to work as the European Head of Finance at DEX Europe from 2009 to 2011, and then as the Group Financial Controller at Sage Ireland from 2011 to 2013. From 2013 to 2019, they served as the Finance Director/CFO at TSM Control Systems. Currently, Paul is employed as the Finance Director at PCI Pharma Services, starting in 2019.

Paul Smyth attended De La Salle College in Dundalk from 1981 to 1986. Paul then enrolled at University College Dublin, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree with honors in Accounting and Business, graduating in 1989. Following that, from 1989 to 1993, Paul attended Chartered Accountants Ireland to become a Chartered Accountant.
