David Shaw

Head of Faculty. ICT Law Business Studies at PCSC

David Shaw has a long history of work experience. David began their career in 1997 as a Sales Executive for EBSCO Information Services. In 2001, they became a Teacher at Teign School Academy, where they were responsible for teaching ICT and Business Studies to students aged 11-18 and founded and ran the Law Department. In 2010, they became the Head of Faculty at Paignton Community and Sports Academy, where they were responsible for curriculum decisions and delivering measurable academic outcomes for students aged 11-18. David also mentored new teachers, was involved with external agencies for trainee teachers, and managed part of the appraisal process. In 2013, they took on the role of Leading the Teaching of IPT at Benowa State High School. Finally, in 2018, they began working at Southern Cross University as a Teaching Academic and Academic Tutor.

David Shaw obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Law and Politics (hons) from the University of Plymouth between 1995 and 1997. David then completed a PGCE in Secondary Education and Teaching (ICT) at the University of Exeter from 2000 to 2001. Finally, they earned a Master's Degree in Education from Southern Cross University from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, they hold Bachelor of Science, Master of Education, Post Graduate of Education, and TAE 40110 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment certifications.
