Richard Stephan

Richard Stephan, JD, CHC, serves as the Senior Manager of Compliance and Ethics at PDS Health since March 2021, advising over 1,000 medical and dental practices on compliance and privacy issues, while managing a team of specialists. Previously, Richard held various positions at the Stanislaus County District Attorney's Office, including Deputy District Attorney, where responsibilities encompassed trial conduct and case preparation. Experience also includes editorial and compliance roles at Wolters Kluwer, along with contract attorney work at Lexolution, assisting in high-profile litigation cases. Richard's legal expertise is further complemented by a background in transactional law and prosecutorial support in federal cases related to organized crime. Richard obtained a B.A. in English from Columbia University, a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, and a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Corporate Compliance from The George Washington University.
