Daniel Appelbaum

Daniel Appelbaum has extensive experience in the energy sector, primarily in sales, marketing, and risk management. At Peabody Energy since October 2006, Daniel serves as Director of Sales and Marketing, focusing on coal sales to industrial and utility customers, alongside a prior role as Director of Risk Analytics. Previously, Daniel worked at Valero Energy Corporation as the Senior Manager of Terminals & Pipelines, overseeing capital projects and economic analysis. Daniel's career began at Clark Oil and included significant roles at Premcor and Clark Refining, such as Senior Manager and Futures Trader. Education includes an MBA in Finance from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis and a BS in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Tulsa.
