Jonathan Walters

Jonathan Walters is an accomplished professional in the mining and engineering sectors, currently serving as the Director of Engineering and Operations Support at Peabody Energy since March 2024. Jonathan is also the President and Director of Pound for Pound Consulting, Inc., a position held since June 2015. Jonathan's extensive experience includes roles such as Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent at Crimson Oak Grove Resources, LLC from April 2019 to November 2023, and Manager of Engineering at Mission Coal Company from July 2017 to April 2019. Additional positions include Production Manager at Seneca Coal Resources and General Manager at New River Carbons of VA, Inc. Jonathan began a career as a Longwall Foreman at Cliffs Natural Resources, where responsibilities included the operation and maintenance of longwall equipment. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining and Minerals Engineering from Virginia Tech, completed in 2007.
