Robert Wichard

Robert Wichard possesses extensive experience in IT operations and management, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Global IT Operations at Peabody Energy since May 2019. In this role, Robert oversees international IT management, staff, and infrastructure operations, focusing on IT Service Management and Datacenter Facilities. Previously, Robert held multiple positions at Charter Communications from November 2005 to June 2018, including Senior Director of Engineering, where management of a $10-25 million annual capital and operational budget was a key responsibility. Robert has also led technical teams in system engineering, mobile workforce management, and network inventory initiatives. Early career experiences include roles at Klein Tools, ARA Services Corp, and The Walsh Group, where Robert gained expertise in network administration and enterprise infrastructure management. Robert earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from DePaul University between 1995 and 1998.
