Tian Oosthuizen

Tian Oosthuizen is an accomplished professional in the mining industry, currently serving as Compliance Manager at Peabody Energy since January 2022. Previously, Tian held various managerial roles at Whitehaven Coal, including Mine Manager and Technical Services Manager, from July 2019 to December 2021. Prior experience includes positions at BGC Contracting, Arrium Mining, Aeris Resources Limited, and New Gold Inc., with responsibilities ranging from Project Manager to Senior Mining Engineer. Tian started the career at Anglo American, advancing from Student Mining Engineer to Mine Overseer. Educational qualifications include an ongoing Master of Business Administration in Finance from AGSM @ UNSW Business School, complemented by a Master's and Graduate Diploma in Mining Engineering from UNSW, as well as a Bachelor of Technology and Diploma in Mining Engineering from the University of Johannesburg.
