Emily Hayes

Emily Hayes is an experienced professional in grant management and journalism, currently serving as the Institutional Giving Officer at the Peabody Essex Museum since April 2025. Prior to this role, Emily held positions including Grants & Contracts Manager and Senior Grant Writer at Housing Families, where oversight included managing a $2,200,000 grant portfolio and securing over $370,000 in funding through various proposals. Previous experience as Grants Manager at The Food Project involved comprehensive grant program management. Emily has also worked in journalism as a Massachusetts Correspondent at RTO Insider LLC, Staff Writer at The Durango Herald, and as a Pulitzer Center Graduate Fellow focusing on rural depopulation in Italy.
