Nicole Salgado

Nicole Salgado is an accomplished Supervisory Training Specialist at the Peace Corps, contributing extensive experience in environmental education and community resilience initiatives since November 2014. Salgado has played a key role in developing and evaluating strategic plans that have significantly increased environmental awareness among over 20,000 youth and supervised numerous volunteers in climate action efforts. Previous roles include English Second Language Teacher, Technical Trainer and Advisor, Community Educator, and Science Teacher, highlighting a strong focus on education and environmental stewardship. With recognized achievements and awards, including the Meritorious and Extra Mile Awards, Salgado has also authored works aimed at promoting immigration policy insight and environmental advocacy. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Plant Sciences from Cornell University and dual Master's degrees in Natural Sciences and Secondary School Science Education from San José State University.
