Christina Mauro is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in both the arts and community service. Currently serving as an Advisory Board Member and President of the Board of Directors at Peace Over Violence since April 2016, Christina has demonstrated a commitment to advocacy and leadership. As a self-employed actress since 2000, Christina holds membership in SAG and AEA. Previous experience includes producing at Fly High Films from 2003 to 2015, working as a Realtor at Darvita Mack Realty Group from 1996 to 2000, and teaching drama, speech, debate, and poetry to junior high and high school students at The Briarwood School from 1994 to 1996. Christina earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Psychology from the University of Houston School of Theatre & Dance, supplemented by training at Playhouse West School & Repertory Theater.

Established in 1971 by pioneering feminist activists, Peace Over Violence is a sexual and domestic violence, intimate partner stalking, child abuse and youth violence prevention center headquartered in Los Angeles. POV is committed to social service, social change and social justice. POV’s innovative and comprehensive programs include Emergency, Intervention, Prevention, Education and Advocacy services and are offered in Los Angeles and the 22 cities within the West San Gabriel Valley. Our mission is building healthy relationships, families and communities free from sexual, domestic and interpersonal violence. Our services are offered in English, Spanish and American Sign Language.
