Allen Gilstrap

Allen Gilstrap is a Director with PTI providing executive management support and strategic counsel. In addition to his role with PTI, Gilstrap serves as CEO of OpenRevolution LLC, a Washington, DC-based, consultancy that advises mobile network operators, financial institutions and technology service organizations in the mobile financial services area.

Gilstrap has 22 years of global experience in the creation of technology-enabled new businesses within both Fortune 500 and venture capital funded environments. Gilstrap has created and led businesses in the financial services, e-commerce, telecom and loyalty/CRM space. Gilstrap served as General Manager of American Express’ Smart Solutions business based in London (UK) which delivered online commercial payment, mobile commerce and smart card issuance solutions to bank card issuing and merchant acquiring partnerships in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and South America.

Gilstrap received his MBA degree from Duke University and a B.S. degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas. Gilstrap has served on the Duke University Business School (Fuqua) Alumni Council, as a Director of Interactive Transaction Services, Ltd. (UK), Chairman of the Smart Card Alliance, and on the Advisory Board of Proton World (Belgium).
