Donald Weakley began their work experience in 2001 as the Commander of an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Company in the U.S. Army. From 2002 to 2003, they served as the Commander of the 705th EOD Company in Afghanistan, where they oversaw various missions and contributed to the development of vehicle-mounted electronic devices to counter improvised explosive devices (IEDs). In 2006, Weakley became the Officer in Charge (OIC) of the Iraq Explosive Ordnance Disposal Program, providing training and support to Iraqi Army Divisional Bomb Disposal Companies. Donald then served as the Operations and Plans Officer in the US Army from 2010 to 2012. From 2013 to 2016, Weakley held the position of President at Peak Security, and since 2016, they have been serving as the President of Peak Alarm Company. Inc.

Donald Weakley attended Weber State University from 1993 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2000 to 2001, they enrolled at the US Army Logistics Management College, completing the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course. Finally, in 2008 to 2009, Donald attended the Command and General Staff College, but it is not specified whether they attained a degree or pursued a specific field of study there.
