Sr. Cell Engineer at Peak Energy

Sean Culver is an experienced professional in the field of materials engineering and cell technology, currently serving as a Sr. Cell Engineer at Peak Energy since April 2024. Previously, Culver held several key positions at Solid Power, Inc., including Materials Engineering Manager, where responsibilities included leading the design and commissioning of a $40 million powder production facility and optimizing cathode, separator, and anode slurry recipes for various cell formats. Culver also contributed as the Technology Transfer Group Leader and Sr. Scientist, focusing on high-performance solid-state electrolytes and cell optimization. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Southern California and a BS in Biochemistry from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Early research experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Justus-Liebig University Giessen and an internship at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
