Naimah Begum

Naimah Begum is a Senior Scientist at Peak Proteins since September 2020, specializing in protein purification from various cell types, including mammalian, insect, and E. coli. Prior to this role, Naimah completed a summer research internship at the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology in 2019, focusing on the cloning and expression of predicted xylanolytic enzymes using Pichia yeast and E. coli as expression hosts. Naimah holds a BSc Hons in Microbiology from The University of Manchester and completed A levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Geography at Oldham Sixth Form College.
