Paolo Monticolo

Paolo Monticolo has extensive experience in risk management and actuarial science, currently holding a position in risk management at Peak Re since April 2023. Prior to this, Paolo worked at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd from October 2019 to May 2023 in the Capital & Risk department. From November 2004 to June 2019, Paolo served as Chief Risk Officer, Member of the Board of Management, and Appointed Actuary at New Reinsurance Company Ltd., where additional roles included Head of Actuarial Risk Management and President of NewRe's Pension Fund. Earlier positions include Head of Controlling and Risk Management, as well as Senior Underwriter for life and non-life insurance at New Reinsurance Company from January 2001 to October 2003, and Head of Actuarial Department at Scor Italia SpA from April 1997 to December 2000. Paolo began a career in actuarial roles as a Corporate Actuary at Scor SA from August 1996 to April 1997. Educational qualifications include an Actuarial Science degree from Università degli Studi di Trieste, completed between 1989 and 1994, and a brief program at Cass Business School in 1991.
